Quick start
Four ways into the test network, from a minute in the browser to a node of your own. Test coins have no value; nothing here needs real money.
1. Get an address (1 minute)
Open the Web Wallet, create a wallet and write down the 24-word recovery phrase. Your address starts with trq1. Coins arrive from the faucet, a miner or another wallet.
Prefer the command line? Download requant-wallet from the latest release and run:
requant-wallet create my.wallet # asks a passphrase, shows the phrase once and your address
requant-wallet address my.wallet # the address and its key hash (the miner's --payee)
2. Get test coins
- Faucet. The faucet sends 10 RQT to a test-network address once a day.
- Mine. Every pool payout and every block reward lands on your address.
3. Mine with an NVIDIA GPU (10 minutes)
Requirements: an NVIDIA GPU of the Turing generation or newer (RTX 20 series, CMP 30HX–90HX, RTX 30/40/50 series) and a current driver.
- Download CPPminer for Windows or Linux from its latest release and check the archive against
SHA256SUMS.txt. - Check the GPU:
cppminer --algo tnet --selftest. - Mine in the public pool with your key hash:
cppminer --algo tnet --rpc 193.187.93.29:19340 --payee YOUR_KEY_HASH --worker rig1
Follow your device on the pool page. Balances are paid automatically from 1 RQT once the blocks are 100 blocks deep. See mining and the pool.
4. Run a node (15 minutes)
Download requantd for Linux or Windows from the latest release and start it on the test network:
requantd --network test --datadir ~/requant-test --auto-update \
--connect 193.187.93.29:19333 \
--connect 193.32.188.248:19333 \
--connect 185.174.40.96:19333
The node syncs headers first, then blocks, verifying every work claim. It needs about 1 GiB of disk and page cache for the epoch weights. See run a node.
Then
- Inspect blocks, transactions and addresses in the explorer.
- Build an integration with the JSON-RPC or the public API.
- Read how the work function was found in research.
